Ingredients
6 Fresh Amla (Indian gooseberry)
Thumb sized piece of ginger, peeled (optional)
1/2-1 cup of water
Preparation
Remove the stone from the gooseberries by roughly slicing off the flesh from around it. Discard the stone.
Add the roughly chopped pieces to a blender with the ginger (optional) and half a cup of water to make a pulp. You may need to add a bit more water depending on the size of the berries.
Strain the mixture through a sieve, pressing the pulp mixture with the back of a spoon to release as much juice as possible.
Discard the pulp.
Pour the juice into a glass and enjoy!
You can add a little bit of sugar, honey or pinch of black salt to taste.
